Application: The cast components have to be cut-off at the in-gate from the main sprue or runner bar. The Abrasive gate cut-off machine is used for this purpose. The ACM provides for a quick clean cut and is cost effective to use.

Description : This is an adjustable rpm abrasive cut-off machine with appropriate job clamping facility. The machine is completely enclosed in a safety enclosure and provided with dust removal port to be attached to a dust collector.

Scope of Supply : includes design, engineering, manufacture, assembly, packing, forwarding, performance trial before dispatch, erection commissioning at site.

Specifications and Salient Features:

§ Capacity : To cut Steel and alloy steel investment castings from the main sprue at the in-gate.

§ Wheel rpm : Adjustable 4500rpm max.

§ Job locating : The machine is provided with an X-axis stroke 300 mm and Y-axis stroke 150 mm table, on which the job is clamped.

§ Job Clamping : Mechanical clamping device is provided to firmly clamp the cast tree in place while the components are being cut off. Standard size T slots are also provided to clamp irregular shaped jobs suitably.

§ Abrasive wheel : Standard cut-off wheels of dia. 400mm. max.

§ Work Bed : The job mounting work bed allows a working space of 200 X 350 and is provided with suitable no. of standard sized T slots. The work-bed allows X-Y travel, for job positioning & cut-feed.

§ Cut Location : The Y-axis travel is 150mm. The longitudinal movement of the job mounting table is controlled by way of hand wheel. This enables the operator to precisely locate the cut.

§ Cut Feed : The cross-feed travel is 300mm. The X axis movement of the job mounting table is controlled by way of hand wheel. This enables the operator to control cut-feed as required.

§ Wheel Location : The Z-axis travel is 350mm The vertical movement of the cut-off wheel is hydraulic. This allows precise positioning and also enables cutting along Z-axis.

§ Drive : 5Hp, 2800rpm, 3 Phase induction motor of reputed make.

§ Motor : Siemens / Crompton Greaves / equivalent.

§ Protection : The whole machine is housed within a cabinet. The cabinet is provided with appropriate door and fitted with safety glass. The cut-off wheel is appropriately enclosed with a facility for easy changing of wheels.

§ Control panel : DOL is provided along with the machine.
